    Welcome to Admin & Tonic.
     
    These Terms & Conditions explain how Admin & Tonic provides administrative, research and personal support services and the terms that apply when you engage my services.
     
    1. About Admin & Tonic
    Admin & Tonic is operated by Sally Shiers.
    Admin & Tonic provides practical administrative, research and personal support to individuals and small businesses.
    The services offered may include, for example:
     
    •	 General administration 
    •	 Research and information gathering 
    •	 Form filling and paperwork 
    •	 Appointment and booking assistance 
    •	 Correspondence and email administration 
    •	 Organisation and document management 
    •	 Personal life administration 
    •	 Other agreed administrative tasks 
     
    The exact services provided will depend on what we agree before work begins.
     
    2. Agreeing to work together
    Before I begin work, I will normally confirm what you have asked me to do, the expected timescale and the applicable fee.
    A contract will be formed when you confirm that you wish me to proceed with the agreed work.
    For larger or ongoing projects, I may provide a separate written agreement setting out the scope of work, fees and other relevant terms.
     
    3. What I need from you
     To provide the service, you may need to provide information, documents, instructions or access to relevant accounts or services.
    You are responsible for ensuring that information you provide is accurate and complete.
    You should tell me if any information is confidential, particularly sensitive or subject to specific restrictions.

Services and scope of work
    I will carry out work with reasonable care and skill and will make reasonable efforts to complete agreed tasks within the timescale discussed.
    I will not undertake work outside the agreed scope without discussing this with you first. 
    If your requirements change or additional work is requested, I may agree an additional fee or revised timescale with you.

Research and information
    Where I carry out research on your behalf, I will make reasonable efforts to use reliable and appropriate sources.
    However, information provided by Admin & Tonic is for general information and administrative support only.
    I do not provide professional legal, financial, medical, tax, immigration or other regulated advice.
     Where a matter requires professional advice, you should consult an appropriately qualified professional.
    I cannot guarantee that information obtained from third parties, public sources or organisations will always be complete, accurate or up to date.
     
    6. Appointments, bookings and third parties
    Where you ask Admin & Tonic to make an appointment, booking, enquiry or other arrangement on your behalf, I will act according to the instructions you provide.
    However, the terms, availability, prices and cancellation policies of the third-party organisation will apply.
    Admin & Tonic is not responsible for changes, cancellations, delays or errors caused by a third party.
    Where appropriate, I will pass relevant information to you so that you can deal directly with the third party.
     
    7. Fees and payment
    Pricing
    Services may be charged on an hourly, fixed-fee or package basis, depending on the nature of the work.
    The applicable fee will be agreed with you before work begins. Where work is charged hourly, you will be advised of the estimated time required wherever reasonably possible.
    For larger or clearly defined projects, a fixed fee may be agreed in advance.
    Any additional work outside the agreed scope will be discussed and agreed with you before additional charges are incurred.
    Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are payable within 7 days of the invoice date.
    All prices are in pounds sterling (£).                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Any third-party costs or expenses incurred on your behalf will be agreed with you in advance the fee for each piece of work will be agreed before the work begins wherever reasonably possible.
    Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due within the period stated on your invoice.
    If payment is overdue, I may pause work until the outstanding amount has been paid.
    You will not be charged for additional work without being informed beforehand, unless the additional work is necessary to complete the agreed task and the additional cost has been agreed with you.

Cancellation and your consumer rights
    If you are a consumer entering into a service contract with Admin & Tonic online, by telephone or by another distance method, you may have a statutory 14-day right to cancel, subject to the applicable legal exceptions. 
    If you ask me to begin providing services during the 14-day cancellation period, I may require you to expressly request that the service begins during that period.
    If you cancel after work has begun at your request, I may be entitled to charge for the proportion of the service that has already been provided, where permitted by law. 
    Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

    9. Cancelling or ending ongoing work
    Either you or Admin & Tonic may bring an ongoing arrangement to an end by giving reasonable notice, unless a different notice period has been agreed.
    You will remain responsible for payment for work properly completed up to the date the arrangement ends.
    If Admin & Tonic needs to stop providing a service, I will give you reasonable notice wherever possible and will explain the reason.
     
    10. Confidentiality
    I understand that clients may share personal, private or confidential information with me.
    I will treat information provided to me as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties except where:
     
    •	 You have asked me to do so as part of the agreed service; 
    •	 It is necessary to use a third-party service to complete the work; 
    •	 I am legally required to disclose it; or 
    •	 Disclosure is necessary to protect someone's vital interests or prevent serious harm.

    11. Security and access to accounts
    Where you provide access to an online account or service so that I can carry out agreed work, you remain responsible for the security and ownership of that account.
    Where possible, I will use appropriate delegated access rather than requesting your personal password.
    Please do not provide passwords unless this is genuinely necessary and we have agreed an appropriate method of doing so.
     
    12. Responsibility and limitations
    I will take reasonable care when carrying out agreed work.
    However, I cannot guarantee a particular outcome where that outcome depends on a third party, including government departments, businesses, insurers, healthcare providers, financial institutions, educational establishments or other organisations.
    I am not responsible for losses arising from information supplied to me that is inaccurate, incomplete or misleading, or from delays or decisions made by third parties.
    Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
    Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.
     
    13. Intellectual property
    Unless otherwise agreed, documents, templates or other materials created specifically for you as part of an agreed service may be used by you for your own personal or business purposes.
    Admin & Tonic retains ownership of its own pre-existing templates, processes, systems and materials.
    You must not reproduce or commercially distribute Admin & Tonic's materials without permission.
    
    14. Website information
    I make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information on the Admin & Tonic website is accurate and up to date.
    However, website content is provided for general information and may change from time to time.
    The website may contain links to third-party websites. Admin & Tonic is not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of those websites.
     
    15. Complaints

    17. Governing law
    These Terms & Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.
    Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless applicable consumer protection legislation provides otherwise.
