THE PERSON BEHIND ADMIN & TONIC.

I’m the person behind Admin & Tonic — and, quite honestly, I’ve been doing this sort of thing for years without realising it could be a business.

As a carer, I’ve spent a lot of time navigating health and education systems, advocating for family members, chasing appointments, sorting paperwork and trying to work out what we’re actually supposed to do next.

I’m also the person family and friends come to when they need help making a complaint, researching a purchase, finding the right service, comparing options or simply getting a job done that they don’t have the time (or the patience!) to deal with themselves.

Then came probate for my Dad’s estate. What started as a rather daunting pile of paperwork turned into tracking down missing bank accounts, chasing organisations, untangling information and even discovering that HMRC owed him a tax rebate. He was a Chartered Accountant, so I like to think he’d have appreciated that particular discovery!

Getting through all of that gave me a real confidence boost. I realised that the things I naturally do research, organise, investigate, chase, write, question and find solutions — are actually useful skills.

I’m still a carer, so I’m starting Admin & Tonic as a small business, helping other people with the life admin that gets in the way of, well... life.

No job is too big, too small or too random.
